you gotta start somewhere

well, I avoided this for a long time and I guess it's time I gave in. The name is Beau and I always have a lot on my mind. I wouldn't know what to do if my brain never stopped thinking. I don't believe anyone would be able to survive with my brain but me. there are very very few things I am good at or that I know. Except mechanics. Since I was a small boy I always found my haven either under the hood or behind the wheel of a car. running or not. I love movies and records. my interest in movies is almost as diverse as my interest in music. Comedy is my mainstay in movies just as Heavy Metal is my main stay in music. I go though a lot of phases but I always come back to 80s hair metal. I've come to the conclusion that I am never happy unless a listen to a Heavy Metal album everyday. Album, not song.

my dream vehicles change constantly as well. for instance one week I could be wanting a boat, within half way in the week I change my obsession to a 73 pinto or filling my garage with arcade games. I remember when I was 18 I decided I HAD to get a CED video disc player.

for about 3 months I was totally into it. I found one of these players at Aladdin's Antiques and bought the discs that they had. I had to get a new belt for it as the one I had stretched with age and didn't play right. I then didn't think my player was good enough and I found a site where someone who was just as weird as I was restored these things and even had a HUGE supply of discs to buy. some unopened. I got a fully restored STEREO player with RCA outlets (I was very insistent on that) and some good shows to watch. the first time I watched GIGI and the M.A.S.H. farwell episode was on video disc. the end result was the technology was terrible. it skipped a lot, video was subpar, sound was excellent due to the fact that it's record. but I had to experience this once temporary technology breakthrough for myself. I sold it all for a small fraction of the cost I had paid right before I got married.

That is a glimpse into some of the things you may experience by reading my blog. Typically pretty clean but not normal.
